Removing the mask

Updated: Aug 25, 2020

Now that Halloween is over I would like to impress upon you that it is now time to remove the mask for good.  “I’m not wearing a mask” you say? I’ll show you that you are.  How many times have a person spoken to you and asked how you were doing and you quickly replied, “Oh, I’m great”, knowing all hell was breaking out in your life.  It’s the proper way to answer. No, it’s the easy way to answer.  We’re not going to stand in the middle of the grocery isle and tell someone our business like that.  Neither would I want you too, or expect you too.  What I would want you to do though is be real.  Be real and honest enough to remove your mask and tell the truth.  If things aren’t going well at that time, say so but do it with a smile and confidence that things won’t always be messed up for you. Always remember your go through will help someone make it to their breakthrough.  If you can go through with a smile on your face and joy in your heart, people around you will note that no matter how hard times may get, they can confidently go through knowing that things will eventually get better for them and they don’t have to walk through their circumstance feeling like they were beaten up. Let us also be mindful that as we left Halloween behind, we’re embarking upon a season of thanks.  Let us be thankful that we are able to stand as a witness to the glory and goodness of our Lord that He is able to keep our minds in perfect peace whenever we face trials of any sort.
