While looking for answers to my many questions, I ran across this site: Socyberty. Now, just for clarification, I don’t consider myself like crazy or anything but I am a bit special. Also just to inform my readers, I am currently pursuing my B.A. in Psychology. My goal is to become a counselor. Ironic huh?
Anyhoo, I came across this site and apparently there is something called white sadness and black sadness. After reading the article, I am inclined to think that I live in what is known white sadness. I won’t go into a lot of details but I will reference the website for those of you who want to read it.
In the article it talks about how the chemicals noreprimine and serotonin levels affect how we think. As for me I have quitely discovered that my sometimes manic thought process is effected by my level of serotonin. According to the published information on the website, “Serotonin provides a feeling of functionability and capability to perform” (Nick, 2009).
I have six children, well only three of them are living in the home but they’re all boys. So, I’m suppose to function AND perform! Wow! what expectations. So here it is. If you are feeling overwhelmed and unmotivated, it might be that your serotonin level in the brain is low. I’m certainly not a doctor but I think it is a safe assumption to make.
